2. Abstract:

1). The pump rotating element is rigidly connected to the motor shaft through closed coupling and supported by the line bearing provided in the cover and the ball bearing of the motor.

2). the pump casing is integrally volute instead of conventional split construction.

3). Double volute design is adopted for the pump casing, so radial thrust on the impeller becomes smaller.

4). the axial thrust is caused by the weight of the rotating element alone and it is so designed as to balance the hydraulic thrust.

5). the shaft power curve have a highest BEP, the overload of the motor power will be avoided under any conditions.

6). the impeller is of single suction design and in order to improve suction performance, the Francis vanes are adopted.

7). the air ejector is attached to the pump body as a device of ejecting air so that it enables the pump to have an ability of self-priming
