Welding

Welding is a process that permanently joins two or more materials, generally the metals and thermoplastics, by making them connect strongly. This is often done by melting both materials. The molten materials quickly cool, and the two metals are permanently bonded. Spot welding and seam welding are two very popular methods used for sheet metal parts.And the spot welding is primarily used for joining parts that normally upto 3 mm (0.125 in) thickness. While Spot-weld diameters range from 3 mm to 12.5 mm (0.125 to 0.5 in) in diameter.

Welding can be applied to in many application and many different energy sources can be used for welding, including a gas flame, an electric arc, a laser, an electron beam, friction, and ultrasound. While commonly as an industrial process, welding can be operated in many different environments, including open air, under water and in outer space. It’s advantage is that can regardless of operating location, but welding remains dangerous, and precautions are taken to avoid burns, electric shock, eye damage, poisonous fumes, and overexposure to ultraviolet light.
