Abrasive Cleaning

An abrasive is a material，which is used to perfect the workpiece by shaping and finishing. By using the rubbing, part of the workpiece will be worn away. Finishing a material need to polish it to gain a smooth, reflective surface it can also involve roughening as in satin, matte or beaded finishes. Abrasives are used very extensively in a wide variety of industrial, domestic, and technological applications. Abrasive cleaning is a surface treatment requiring an abrasive compound. Abrasive cleaning ranges from compounding to sandblasting. Compounding is a course polishing technique done with abrasive paste, usually containing alumina or silica. The paste is applied manually and then buffed with a power tool or machine.
