Stamp Die Making
As one kind of common metal operation, stamping dies including blanking dies, compound dies, , progressive dies and so on. Stamping dies are composed of top and bottom dies. Depending on the specific operation, the top die may be a simple tool like a punch. Stamping dies are often built to allow the part to drop out of the bottom of the die when finished. Stamping includes a variety of sheet-metal forming manufacturing processes, such as blanking, piercing, forming, and drawing. This could be a single stage operation where every stroke of the press produce the desired form on the sheet metal part, or could occur through a series of stages. The process is usually carried out on sheet metal, but can also be used on other materials, such as polystyrene.
