In 1968 we introduced the first plant in Australia designed to produce the relatively new "Flocast" continuous cast iron bar. This unique method of production revolutionised the manufacture of cast iron bar and, since then, "Flocast" bar has continued to revolutionise the manufacturing methods of many components previously made from sand castings.
Today, Flocast manufactures an extensive range of continuous and centrifugally cast iron and bronze. An extensive stock range is held to ensure that customers can obtain prompt delivery so essential for breakdowns and to reduce expensive inventory.
We maintain a number of large automatic saws for cutting lengths to your exact requirements, either one-off or in multiples. A prompt and competitive service is offered. Quotations available upon request.
We will be pleased to quote specific grades not included in this web site.
Deep Hole Drilling
Capacity is available to offer bar drilled to l5OOmm maximum. Bore size ranges from 2Omm to 63mm diameter. Extremely close tolerances can be maintained dependent upon length.
We can arrange component manufacture from our bars through the services of a number of efficient, well-equipped machine shops. Quotations for component manufacture and other services are available for your enquiry.
Non-standard Shapes and Sizes
In addition to the stock shapes, many special shapes and non-standard sizes can be produced to order.
Flocast Australia recognised the need to introduce modern business philosophies to ensure their products and services remained competitive with other world producers of continuous and centrifugally cast products.
In 1992 Flocast Australia earned accreditation to AS 3902/ISO 9002 and this acknowledgment is now proudly displayed on all official stationery and sales brochures and widely acknowledged by customer and competitor alike.
In October 1995 our Quality Management System was audited by NATA Australia and approved to AS/NZS ISO 9002 1994.
